Solution #2 in this threat worked, in case anyone sees this, because believe it or not,
It won't stop doing this "add-on" activated and reboot cycle and it's certainly not that I'm not playing it on U-play because I got the U-play version and don't own it on Steam but as atrocious as Uplay's support is, I was hoping I'd find a fix here. Really? Because this is the problem I'm now having. So we have a jerk that won't say how he fixed his problems and otherwise this is still unresolved?.
