What sort of features should I be looking out for? Will I be fine starting out with a $100 one or is there a good case to move up to the $300-$500 range?Ĥ. Should I aim to get one that includes Ableton Live Lite? How limited is Lite? Can anyone think of any advantages it would offer me over FL or used in conjunction with FL?ģ. Should I get one right away, or should I try harder to bind my keyboard to do the same functions?Ģ. I am finding that a lot of MIDI pad controllers are actually pretty cheap and the way I see some people create beats on them, I feel like I am missing out.
So the keyboard is my ONLY piece of music hardware excluding my PC itself. The only caveat is that it doesn't fully integrate into FL Studio, which is all I have for a DAW. A Komplete Kontrol S61 MK2 and it has been a real treat compared to my old fixed-velocity learning piano. Based on my current situation, do you all think I should invest in a MIDI pad controller?
